2005 2006 Freightliner Columbia Radiator Maintance Tip

I came upon this buy luck on Freightliner Colombia Class radiators. We have a large fleet they are running all 2005 and 2006 Freightliner Columbia's. We have sold them almost 200 of the Active oem premium radiator part # 558059a. most of these Freightliner Columbia's are approaching the million mile plus range. The warranty rate started to rise in a pattern the same units were losing a radiator about every 6 months. Most were still going strong without any problems. I thaught it was worth going to take a look at. Freightliner Columbia oem radiators mfrg by Behr have been a problem. I was hoping it was not our Active product failing. I had put my reputation on the line telling how Active's radiator for the Freightliber Columbia was the best sollution to the problem. I asked the tech to open the hood so I could see the failed radiator. As he opened the hood he let it fall about the last 2-3 inches the radiator almost jumped out of the truck. One of the hood cable was broke. I asked the Svc Mgr if unit 1531 was also in the lot. It was another Columbia with 3 failures guess what was broke yep hood cable. Well you guy's you get my point. We were happy to help the customer we just had a differant set of eyes than our customer did. It may not have anything to do with the failure's we have no proof to back up our theory. But we are not having failures any more. Thanks for looking Joel
