We have many options when it comes to repairing your fuel tank. If you have to buy a new aluminum fuel tank
for a Freightliner,Kenworth,Peterbilt or Volvo, it really takes a bite out of your profit for the month.
We are now offering fuel tank repair in our facility.
If it is a corrosion problem around the fuel tank straps. We will weld a ring of aluminum around the whole tank about a 1/2 wider than the straps. The weld is barely noticeable and will blend in with the straps.
It is like having a brand new tank for about 25% the price of new.
If the fuel tank is dented we can pull the end cap off and hammer out the dent and reweld end cap.
We also use the same method to weld broken baffles.
One of our customers did not have enough storage for hyd fluid. We removed the end cap of his fuel tank put a solid baffle in pressure checked the fuel tank for leaks before reinstalling the end cap on the fuel tank.Put in his pickup and return line fittings welded the end cap on and gave the customer about a additional 30 gallon of hyd fluid storage.
